About two years ago, I responded to one of these What's App scam links that purported to be from a writer I follow, claiming she wanted to interact with me. The scammer asked me some banal questions along the lines of "How are you?" and "how is the weather where you are?" and I quickly realized it wasn't the real writer. Since then, like most of us here, I've received scores of these things. What's App, which I often use with friends in other countries, is the giveaway that a scammer is on Medium. Thanks for this, Malky. I fell for it only once.
