As a teenager, I was completely accepting of others in terms of their race, ethnicity, appearance, affluence or lack thereof, etc. But I was somewhat condescending (though not in anyone's face) towards other kids whom I deemed to lack original thinking or who were "dedicated followers of fashion." I am much more tolerant now, far less supercilious. Kinder.
