College tours are interesting, although a single tour guide can throw silly (though smart) college students completely off balance. The school I preferred for my daughter, and one that accepted her, was not chosen because the tour guide and a friend of his wore hats with the name of the university on them. My brilliant niece passed up a school because she didn't like the personality of the tour guide there.
