Excellent piece, Jennifer, although I don't know how you could have admired Madonna's fashion choices while watching Cyndi Lauper, as Madonna stole her fashion choices from that superior singer. And yes, she is rude. Some people are even suing her for consistently starting her shows so late and wasting other people's time. But she's definitely been a cultural phenomenon.
