I would love to see your dog's voice pan. ! did read and admire Between the World and Me, Educated, and even, I now begrudgingly admit, Hillbilly Elegy, but my favorite memoir from the last few years, was Homeland Elegies by Ayad Akhtar, which he claims is a novel, but methinks is a memoir.
