This is an excellent piece, Cole. Poor Freddie Mercury. Not only did he hide his sexuality, and diagnosis, but he hid his ethnicity, for some reason pretending to be Persian/Iranian rather than Indian. An Indian friend of mine ran into him in London and mentioned that she had gone to school with his sister in Mumbai, then Bombay. He told her icily, "I don't know what you are talking about."
