You look lovely in your picture, Audrey, and I would notice you, but I am not a young man. I am not a young woman anymore either, but I can't say I miss the male gaze. I maybe had too much of it as a lass and learned to not make eye contact with anyone on the streets or in a public venue, and therefore lost any judgement as to whether not I was being visually appraised. So if the guys are no longer looking, I am not aware. That said, I do make an effort with clothes and make-up, but that's for my own pleasure. I enjoyed your story and you are lucky to have a loving husband and not be Mrs. Robinson (although in the film, Anne Bancroft was way too young to be a mother figure to 30-year-old Dustin Hoffman).
